Durch Musikstücke wie "In The Mood" oder "Pennsylvania 5-6000" wurde der am 1. März 1904 geborene Posaunist und Bandleader Glenn Miller weltbekannt. Jedoch komponierte er außer "Moonlight Serenade" keinen seiner Hits selber. Mit dem Lied "Chattanooga Choo Choo" gewann er die erste goldene Schallplatte in der Musikgeschichte. Das Original stammt übrigens von Harry Warren.
